Justin Rex is a freelance photographer based in Lubbock, Texas. Justin developed an interest in photography at an early age. Spending much of his life outdoors hiking, cycling, hunting and fishing where he gained an appreciation of the beauty in the natural world.
As a photographer, Justin is drawn to telling stories of how people interact with the world around them. This has led to working for clients such as, the Associated Press, Houston Chronicle, Texas Parks and Wildlife Magazine, Texas Highways Magazine, Texas Tribune, and Bikepacking Journal. His work has also appeared in numerous publications including New York Times, Washington Post, Dallas Morning News, Austin American-Statesman and USA Today.
Justin currently works at Texas Tech University as the Assistant Director of Photo Storytelling Marketing & Communications.
